Selling Digital Downloads like ebooks, PDFs, and MP3s can be very profitable. Would you like to learn how to sell digital downloads, too?
Click Millionaires member Ben asked me how to sell digital files online. I think Ben's idea is a good one because information product sales via downloads of digital products like ebooks, MP3s, and PDF documents online can be very low cost and profitable.

How would you recommend giving a free download such as an mp3 file in exchange for email opt-in.

Hi Lambert,
I probably should have included Clickbank in this video. Their system has its own quirks but selling an ebook through Clickbank can give you access to their worldwide network of affiliate marketers. That can be a big advantage in getting your product sold online.
Since you are a ClickMillionaires.com member, let's pursue this topic more in the members forum. It's worth further discussion.
As far as Shoply, I'm not sure what you're asking but would be happy to help if you'd like to clarify.
Best,
Scott

Hello Bill,
Great idea to give a digital download (like an ebook or mp3 file) as a freemium to new email subscribers.
The easiest way to do this is to upload the file to your own servers (or find somewhere to post it online). Then include the link to that page (or to the file itself) in the "thank you" email that you send to each new subscriber welcoming him/her to your list.
This is what I do for new subscribers to my free ScottFox.com email newsletters and it works very well.
Hope to see you here again soon,
Scott Fox

Hi Scott,
Thanks for getting the word out about Shoply.com; I was unaware of it.
Back in 2008, I was wondering why an "Amazon.com for digital goods" didn't exist (I know that the iTunes Store comes pretty close -- but it's music-oriented and only links to one brand of MP3 player). Perhaps now that such an easy-to-use site like Shoply can handle digital downloads, it will become a big player -- although the ability for anyone to quickly set up their own shop means that if it became an internet brand, it would probably be more of an "eBay" than an "Amazon"!
Anyway, I thought that you and your readers might be interested in a video showing how to add digital goods to a sales page on Shoply. It was posted only yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkCe4Up589U
Best Wishes,
John.

I've been using Scubbly (http://www.scubbly.com ) for several months to sell my e-books, and so far it's outperforming all the other platforms I've tried. I put their widgets on my blog and they direct buyers directly to PayPal with the product already in their cart - and they get an Instant Download with no hassle. Great pricing too.
