Last week social media rockstar, Chris Brogan, posted a video review of my new book, e-Riches 2.0: Next Generation Online Marketing Strategies.
Thanks again to Chris for his public commentary on the book, BUT he raised some issues I want to respond to. Please check out the first public video I've posted in a long time.
Watch this 4 minute clip and you'll learn a lot more about me, my new book, and how e-Riches 2.0 can help you improve your online marketing!

Interesting to see this video. Perhaps Social Media Marketing will emerge as the new medium of business communication and provide newer opportunities.

Hey Scott,
Cool video review. And, I agree that for some of us a bit of the information in the new book might be a elementary.
But, I can tell you that I spend all day every day studying internet marketing and read voraciously on the subject and the point is, I personally got a lot out of the book.
No one is an expert in every area and I think with the amount of content you provided in the book it is nearly impossible not to take a handful of excellent ideas and strategies out of the book. It is definitely more suited to "newbies," but more seasoned SEO's should not discount the content and assume they can not learn anything from the book. In my opinion, that would be a mistake... the book is great.
I'm rambling on because I'm somehow trying to make the point that I would hate to see the book become simply a niche SEO marketing book for only the inexperienced marketer, it is more than that.
I encourage anybody reading this comment to read the book regardless of your level of expertise in the field. Best, David

Hi David,
Thanks for the vote of confidence for e-Riches 2.0!

I read the book and I have to say that it had some great how to information but you really crossed over into the advertising pitch by mentioning over 50 times to come to your website for exclusives and other information only to get to the site and find that the extras were not available. I have read many books on marketing and I could only tell people to buy Web 2.0 Riches. E-Riches is a good book but if you stop advertising, it would have been a great book.
Many people are tired of being advertised to in help books. I thought I was reading Book Yourself
Solid after the 20th mention of your website. Give people what they need and they will look you up and tell others.
I do agree with Chris but for a different reason. It was good but I am on the fence. I am tired of spam and advertisements especially in Books.
Be unique ! Be different ! Stop the Spam! I didn't pay to hear you tell me about your site: I bought the book to learn.

Hi Jahaziel,
I'm sorry that the web site mentions bothered you so much.
Unfortunately that's part of modern book marketing. Being unique by NOT attracting people to my site would not be a successful solution.
The site promos are also deliberate to compensate for the non-interactive nature of a printed book. Without all those prompts, I would hear from a lot less of my readers (likely including you). I'd rather hear from you (even with a complaint like yours) than not at all.
Thanks for dropping by.
Scott Fox
p.s. There are a BUNCH of good extras available to e-Riches readers. Did you see the banner in the upper right hand corner? Redeem those and you will get on the list for more coming soon, too.

Scott, the Messiah did not do you any favors with your book review. You actually thanked him for the review.
You were also nice to Jahaziel who took a jab at you.
At what point do you grow a set and tell these jerks that you will do things the way you see fit?
You should review Brogan's Trust Agent book the same way he did yours. Social Media is pretty much a joke nowadays but honesty and telling it like it is, never goes out of style. I'm sure his book sucks. Ever watch his speech videos? Kill me...please. Probably cut & paste from a Tony Robbins paperback.
My advice to you also after checking out your Twitter stream. Stop retweeting Brogan. Tweet your own stuff. You appear to be a talented guy.
