Well-known social media expert and Twitter authority, Chris Brogan, was generous enough to post a video review of my new book, e-Riches 2.0. But what does he really think?
Watch this short video and let me know what YOU think!
I sure like Chris' conclusion that the book is “a really good starting point for a lot of stuff” to do with Web 2.0 online marketing but what about the rest of it?

Hey Scott,
Very interesting video review. But honestly, I don't think he's as on the fence as he sounds. I'm a huge fan of Chris Brogan & agree your approaches are different but the end goals are the same: educate and inform without the hype. More than once he mentions the good information in the book and even ends the review by asking people to pick up a copy. I don't think it makes much sense to talk about the great ideas you present in the book, a recomendation to purchase and not believe that is a strong testimonial. From what I know about Chris Brogan, he's not afraid to speak his mind & if he didn't like, I think he would have no problem expressing that. I do think, however, as I do myself, that maybe he was hung up on the title a bit. Only because I know you to be as far from a get rich quick guy as possible, the title may have have been confusing. Absolutely you can make millions with the strategies you describe (and back that up with numerous case studies in the book) the point is you're not pitching a get rich quick plan. To the contrary, you're promoting a business plan for success using online marketing strategies. At least that's how I see it. Very cool having an endorsement from Chris Brogan, congratulations.

Well said, David.
You're right - I appreciate Chris' review very much.
Thanks for the detailed comment.

Hi Scott,
Chris definitely recommends your book.He states that there is "a lot of good advice" in it. In my opinion and as you also explained in your video respond this book is not for people that are already in all the social media, twittering and already build a fan site or their products with 40k fans.
This book is - like Chris said - a good "starting point" for all the entrepeneurs like me that want to build an online business. I agree with David that it might be the title and the cover (!) that generate a "get rich quick" feeling on this book.

Thanks for the comments, Robin.
Great to hear that e-Riches 2.0 is reaching all the way to Germany already!

Before I click away Scott. I would never tell you what to do, but I will give you my opinion. Sugar coat it any way you want but Brogan schooled you and are furthering his effort by posting his garbage on your site. I don't get it?
Why send your readers to him? If you want to be a Social Media Leader...well then lead, and stop following.
I'm betting you have twice the talent, now go be a leader!

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your passionate comments!
I thanked Chris because he did me a favor by publicizing my book to his audience. He reaches a lot more people than I do and I appreciate him promoting the book when he didn't have to.
He and I do have differences in style but we're also both nice guys who try to help out fellow travelers. I'll be reviewing his book here soon, too.
As for leadership, watch this space. I think you'll be impressed with what's coming next month...
Best,
Scott Fox
