Hi Scott,
My functional but aging parents live 500 miles away and as you can imagine it fills with a range of emotions. I want to use my skills and talent to make communicating and monitoring them easier. I believe that with all of the new technology and social networking it is a great opportunity to connect. They have computers but the interface is too complex for them.
As an unemployed Industrial Designer I am using this time to develop my own business. I have 5 patents with my former employer. I believe that I can solve this problem for people that can not understand the basic structure of a windows or apple interface. I fear that we are leaving the greatest generation out of the technology advances and I for one would like to invite them to the party. But I am just a designer with ideas.

Hello Geri,
This sounds like a great market opportunity that would make excellent use of your unique skills and passion.
I share your concern for those being left behind in the digital revolution (as well as the common frustration over the needless complexity of many of today's gadgets!)
Please let me and the others in our community know how we can help you.
Best,
Scott
