WineLibrary.com's Gary Vaynerchuk is my guest this week on
the "E-commerce Success" Radio Show.
Thanks to his creative online video marketing efforts, today Gary is probably the world's most famous wine-taster. He's helped his parent's New Jersey wine shop become an international sales success through his innovative and entertaining videos.
Learn about how he started the WineLibrary.TV success story, the tools he uses for production of his daily video clips, the marketing techniques he uses to attract viewers, how he syndicates the videos across the web, and more. LISTEN to the interesting discussion that Gary and I had together. It's full of valuable online marketing advice and some special Vaynerchuk inspiration, too! |
Please come back and share Comments once you've heard the broadcast, too.
p.s. Gary also has this great new book out called "101 Wines".
Pick up a copy if you'd like to learn more about wine!

I just have a question; if I got different news articles from other sites, promoting these companies, as well as doing affiliate marketing, would i need permission to post the article? ive been brainstorming a bout a really great news site. ; also i wanted to make an ebay store dedicated to seasonal products, within this site. i am just looking for some guidance along my quest for success. Regards, Denis

Hi Denis,
Your use of articles written by other people depends on the terms that they have posted for use of those articles. You usually need to look at the fine print at the bottom of such articles to find the details.
Re-use terms vary widely - some people want their articles distributed as widely as possible and for free, while others hold their copyrights very closely.
American "fair use" law generally allows you to use small bits of other content if you are commenting on it but using entire pieces (whether articles, songs, pictures, or anything) without permission is usually infringing. Unless the terms clearly state how a piece can be re-used, you should consult an attorney before using.
If you are thinking of using this approach to build an affiliate promotions business, you should look to the affiliate advertiser companies themselves, too. Often they can provide articles in addition to ads for you to use in promoting their products.
Best,
Scott

Scott, I couldn't catch the name of the software Gary uses to "one-step" upload his iMovie file to all the various online video platforms like YouTube, Viddler, BlipTV, etc. (sounds like he said toogmogul.com) He mentions it at the 18:56 min. mark of the interview.
Thanks for your help,
Gary
