I try to keep our focus here global, or at least national, but still have to mention an upcoming event that I'm excited about: The Technology Council of Southern California Technology Industry Awards.
The Southern California Technology Industry Awards dinner (the 14th Annual) recognizes industry leaders and companies that have made extraordinary contributions to the growth of Southern California as a center for technological innovation.
The awards will be presented during a fancy dinner ceremony at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on February 28, 2008.
I recently was elected as a Board Member of the Technology Council. I believe strongly in the importance of such civic organizations in encouraging the growth of entrepreneurship, whether in Los Angeles or any where else.
